The article identifies the factors that affect the electrical conductivity of the soil. The most common methods of implementation of the grounding system, used in cold regions in permafrost conditions, are considered. A new design of the anchor electrode has been developed to prevent the ejection of the ground rod due to the effect of frost heaving of the soil.
