The main objective of the study was to determine the oral and silent reading ability level in English of Grade seven students enrolled during the school year 2019-2020 in Calamba Bayside Integrated School, Calamba City, Laguna. The study made use of the descriptive research design using the Philippine Informal Inventory (Phil-IRI) materials -focusing on fluency and comprehension.
