The treatment of recurrent, refractory post-infarction myocardial ischemia remains an unresolved clinical problem. Aggressive pharmaceutical therapy has limited effectiveness, while percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass graft surgery are not possible in these patients, due to various reasons.
