Tiris seems to be a very early species, tlccttrring wilh ruberata, and seems distinct enough from E. aulumilalis to deserve specific rank. The peculiarly shaped fore wings, the broad mesial band and the tendency for the extradiscal and intradiscal lines to unite near the inner margin will help to separate it from any other species'
