The genotoxic effect of actinomycin D on micronuclei of bone marrow cells and serum protein electrophoretic pattern of mice

The genotoxic effects of actinomycin D (ActD) were assayed in an in vivo test utilizing bone marrow cells and serum protein electrophoresis assay. ActD (0.0005%) was dissolved in 0.9% saline and administered intraperitoneally at a volume of 1 ml solution per 100 g body weight. Five groups of male mice, were intraperitoneally injected with ActD and were sacrificed after 2, 6, 24, 36 and 48 h.
