Free Space Optics (FSO) link offers gigabit per second data rates with less system complexity. However, the availability of link under various atmospheric conditions is a major concern. As these links are highly weather dependent, thus increase in signal attenuation under these conditions reduces the link efficiency. This paper evaluates the effects of bad weather conditions on FSO link having range 500 meters up to attenuation of 70 dB/km. The suitability of three optical transmission windowsdoi:10.1016/j.procs.2016.06.014 fatcat:otibm5kzmfh7hbxertkk4kspgm
