TIlE following experiments have been planned for the purpose of demonstrating in a simple manner some of the essential phenomena of the ionization of gases. The needs I)f the teacher of physics have been kept in mind and the apparatus is in all cases of the very simplest type, including practically nothing out side of the resources of a fairly well·equipped labora tory.
