Pounding response of two adjacent planar structures with different floor levels due to earthquake excitation using the finite element method

Recently, dynamic excitation loads often cause damages in the adjacent structures with different dynamic characters through the pounding effect. This study analyzes the pounding response of the two adjacent structures with different floor levels associated with earthquake excitation.
