Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, Terdapat perbedaan tingkat pelaksanaan aspek karakter dan prestasi belajar siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Kedua, penerapan model pembelajaran CBT efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas lulusan SMK. Abstract This study was aimed at determining: (1) The differences in the level of implementation aspects of students' character and achievement between the class that implement Competence Based Training (CBT) character-based learning model and the class that does not; (2) The effectiveness of the CBT character-based learning model for machine learning in vocational work practices in improving the quality of graduates. This study used a quasi-experimental method. The study was carried out in SMK N 2, SMK N 3, SMK N Piri 1, and SMK Muh.3 Yogyakarta. The data collection techniques were observation and documentation. The data were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive technique. The results show that: First, there are differences in the implementation levels of character aspects and students' achievement between the experimental class and control class, where the learning achievement of the experimental class is better than the control class; Second, The application of CBT character-based learning model is effective in improving the quality of vocational high school students.
