Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Some Novel Pyrimidines Derivatives

The reaction of 1-(4-(4-nitrobenzyloxy)phenyl)ethanone 1 react with substituted aromatic aldehyde to give chalcones 2 (a-k) which on reaction with urea and 5H-tetrazole-5-amine to give 6-(4-(4nitrobenzyloxy)phenyl)-4-substitutedphenyl-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one 3 (a-k) and 5-(4-(4nitrobenzyloxy)phenyl)-7-substitutedphenyl-4,7-dihydrotetrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine 4 (a-k) respectively. 1H NMR, IR, MASS Spectra have been confirmed by newly synthesized compounds.
