The current research aims at examining the effectiveness of Suchmans Inquiry Training Model in developing logical thinking skills and academic aspirations among a sample of (60) fourth year students enrolled in department of Home and Institutions Administration at the Faculty of Home Economics, Menoufia ‫العدد‬ ‫عشر‬ ‫اخلامس‬ ‫يوليو‬ .. 2019 ‫م‬ ‫النوعية‬ ‫الرتبية‬ ‫جماالت‬ ‫يف‬ ‫عربية‬ ‫حبوث‬ 96 University. more » ... ntrol group of ( 30 ) students. To achieve this aim, a logical thinking skills test, and an academic aspirations scale were prepared. The research applied the descriptive and the quasi-experimental approaches. Statistical analyses through SPSS revealed that the following results: there are statistically significant differences between the pre-and postapplication of both The Logical Thinking Skills Test, and the Academic Aspirations Scale in favor of the post-application; there are statistically significant differences between the experimental and the control groups' mean scores on the post-application of both The Logical Thinking Skills Test, and the Academic Aspirations Scale in favor of the control group; and there is a statistically significant positive correlation between the logical thinking skills, and the academic aspirations. Thus, Suchmans Inquiry Training Model was proved to be effective in developing logical thinking skills and academic aspirations, also the Eta Square ( η 2 ) revealed the strong influence of the Suchmans Inquiry Training Model in developing the dependent variables. Recommendations were presented in the light of the research results: the importance of paying attention to develop logical thinking skills and academic aspirations among students, specially university students, and to apply Suchmans Inquiry Training Model in teaching other courses at various grades, and the need to hold training courses on this model.
