The State of the Art in Volume Graphics Research

Volume Graphics is an emerging discipline concerned with modeling, manipulations, and rendering of three dimensional space-filling data, which is typically acquired through analytical methods, scanner & sensor-based measurements, numerical simulations, or statistical observations. This article introduces the state of art in volume graphics research and developments with a special focus on its core technology, i.e., volume visualization.
