"Every problem facing persons or organizations has layers, like an onion". Consultants are trying to identify such layers in a problem to solve it at the end. Also, any critical thought through solutions are possible, which lead to an optimization of an issue. To find a solution to a problem, it is necessary to gather relevant data so that by using the information obtained, an overall picture of the situation can arise. This suggests that the consulting survey methods play a fundamental role in gaining insights in finding a solution in the settlement of the is-analysis. Which survey methods are when, where and how useful? Is there one "right" mix of survey methods? What criteria and factors are to be considered when selecting the method choice? It is noted that this issue tied up in such a form was not yet dealt with which again illustrates the complexity.
