Progress in Community Health Partnerships Research Education and Action
This was a qualitative study using focus groups to explore rural African American young people's perceptions to inform the development of community-based HIV prevention interventions. The study was conducted as part of a larger, on-going community-based participatory research (CBPR) project called Project GRACE. The study focused on HIV prevention in two rural North Carolina counties with high HIV rates among African Americans. The young people included in the focus groups shared their
