Now a day's farmer uses tremendous pesticide for protection of their crop from insects. Different types of pesticide were used against different crop, among these pesticide chloropyrifos is used against wide variety of insects. Present study aims to illustrate the histopathological and biochemical changes in mice kidney due to chlorpyrifos, as well as to reveal the therapeutic effects of extracted curcumin for 5 weeks at 100 mg/kg b.wt. more » ... istered mice show degenerated bowmens capsule. Rudimentary glomerulus was observed. Degenerated cytoplasm of PCT and DCT were also observed. Five weeks curcumin administered to those mice show regeneration of glomerulus and bowmens capsule. PCT and DCT were almost normal in structure. It is concluded from entire study that curcumin plays vital role in detoxification of kidney exposed to chlorpyrifos. Curcumin maintains normal biochemical level including urea, uric acid and creatinine. Glomerulus, bowmens capsule, PCT and DCT were also restored like normal one, which maintaind normal absorption and reabsorption in nephrone. It is evident that curcumin causes greater degree of bioremediation of chlorpyrifos induced kidney damage.
