The present investigation was carried out to obtain promoting substance for the growth of Lactobacillus species in Chlorella extract. Chlorella extract was treated with Amberlite IR-45 (OH-form) resin. Then, the filtrate was fractionated by a column chromatography on Dowex 54x2. The each fraction was purified by passing through Sephadex G-25 and crystallized from organic solvent. As the result, two nucleoside (A) and (B) were isolated.
