Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are now considered to be active players in tumor-host interactions. Tolllike receptor protein expression on/in cancer cell depends apparently on the level of RNA transcription. Based on previous work showing presence of TLR mRNA in six carcinoma cell lines, it was attempted to determine quantitatively mRNA of TLR-2, TLR-3 and TLR-4 by rt PCR.
