According to the tables "output-input", the dependence of the Ukrainian economy on the use of imported products from manufacturing industries in the years 2013-2016 has been calculated. A high (52.4 %) dependence of the Ukrainian economy on the import of products from the processing industry was revealed. The most import-dependent production of the domestic processing industry is determined. The results of import dependence assessment have become the analytical basis for identifying promising directions of import substitution in Ukraine.
