From the perspective of law enforcement agencies, it is necessary to disrupt the infrastructure of cryptomarkets and prevent people from conducting illicit transactions. However, from the perspective of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, disrupting cryptomarkets would have negative consequences for the Australian Government and Australian communities. In conclusion, this research argues that although cryptomarkets are a transformative platform that enables individuals to conduct illicit transactions, they should not be disrupted because they offer a less violent alternative to conventional drug distribution networks.
