The technique of strengthening steel structures with carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) has attracted growing attention in research field as well as in practice. A newly developed CFRP laminate with a modulus of 460GPa makes it possible to increase the elastic behaviour of strengthened steel structures.
