Background Fibrinogen (FIB) has been used to differentiate periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) from aseptic loosening. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of FIB in predicting postoperative reinfection in patients with debridement, antibiotics and implant retention (DAIR).
