Research on 1,3,4-oxadiazole and their synthetic analogs have revealed a variety of pharmacological activities including anti-microbial, antitubercular, anticancer, anti-HIV, antioxidant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anticonvulsant activities. The analgesic activity was performed by acetic acid induced writhing in mice. Some of the tested compounds exhibited promising biological activities.
