more » ... the declaration of an epidemic state in the territory of the Republic of Poland, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic (SARS-CoV-2 virus). The purpose of this publication is to analyze the legal acts concerning the principles of organizing and holding general elections during the COVID-19 epidemic. The author describes key issues relating to electoral law in a democratic state ruled by law. The subject of the considerations is also a comprehensive analysis of the constitutional principles which should be observed when drawing up generally applicable acts, including the election law.
