... act: The assertive actions have changed significantly the perception of inequality and racism research in Brazil, especially about the elaboration of public policies. This is the result of a deep pressure of the black movement, since the end of the second half of the nineties, for the adoption of specific policies for the black population. In the educational field, for example, the implementation of these policies in public universities was decisive for the beginning of the process, that will still be consolidated, of the democratization of this area, both from the point of view of extending the participation of black students, as well as the transformations that have taken place in the context of the academic structures. This reality was the starting point for the approval of the Law n. 12.990/2014, which provides the reservation of job positions for black people in the public service. In this sense, the current academic study aims to analyze some aspects of the implementation of the reservation of faculty positions by Law n. 12.990/2014, in the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), in the period from 2015 to 2019. To this end, we will analyze the documents of the job offer for university professor published by the university during the period in question. To contextualize the discussion around law enforcement, we resumed general aspects of the process of creating the ethnic-racial studies course in 2014 and faculty position exams to hire four experts in the area of Ethnic-Racial Relations in 2016 in the UFABC.
