... description and analysis of Epic of King Gesar's fragments by international scientific communities, epic's characters as a part of the Tibetan national literature are not sufficiently studied. The aim of this article is to analyze the role and functions of one of the main female characters of the epic -King Gesar's wife Drugmo. In this research five epic fragments, such as Drugmo's acquaintance with Gesar, search for the miraculous horse, Drugmo's jealousy, the war between Hor and Ling and Drugmo's death were analyzed in order to acquire deeper understanding of Drugmo's character in the epic.
