Study on genetic variability for the quantitative traits in some genotypes of upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.)

Twenty five germplasm lines of cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) were evaluated for genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance on the basis of as percent of mean for eight traits. Analysis of variance revealed, significant differences for all the eight quantitative characters under study.
