In this article, there are many points of contact between Chekhov's works of art and folklore, folk culture. Chekhov is more focused on living folklore, the one that exists, and, very importantly, he is interested in modern folk culture: popular texts of folk songs of literary origin, genres that focus on folklore tradition (Christmas story), extremely popular dream books at the turn of the century.
