Field tests on behavior of pre-bored grouted planted pile and bored pile embedded in deep soft clay
2020
Soil and foundation
This paper presents a field study on the compressive bearing capacity of pre-bored grouted planted (PGP) pile and bored pile embedded in deep soft clay. The test site consisted of many concrete square piles which were used for the foundation of the old structures. The PGP pile and bored pile were considered as the two suitable pile types in this test site. The test results show that: the compressive bearing capacity of 900 mm PGP pile with 1200 mm enlarged base is identical to the compressive
