Flexible Architecture of Disk Array

Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) IS the most etlicient way to avoid the bottleneck problem between I/O subsystem's performance and the CPU processing power. This paper describes a novel RAID architecture, called FlexArch, which can meet ditferent requirements in ditlerent application environments. It is very convenient for the ditlerent users to detine and construct a kind of RAID architecture according to its application environment. Two kinds of special structures, RAID_table and
