Using standard standin g wave microwave techniques and fo ll owing Gopal a Krishn a's [Trans Farad ay Soc, 33 (1957) 767] single frequen cy (9 .88 GHz) concentration variational meth od , the dielectric relaxati on times (1) and the dipole moments (J.!) of the binary mixtures of different molar concentrati ons of acetone (Ac) in binary mixtures of aceto ne and N,N-dimethylacetamide in benzene soluti ons have been calculated at differen t temperatures (25, 30, 35 and 40 oc. Comparison has been made with the correspond in g energy parameters for visco us now. From th e observations, it is found th at the di electric re lax ati on process lik e the visco us now process can be treated as th e rate process. On th e basis of above studies, solute-solvent type o f the molecul ar associ ati on can be predicted.
