Segundo a autora, a ideia de raça deve ser compreendida como uma construção social, estrutural e estruturante da sociedade brasileira e que, através da atuação do movimento negro, foi apropriada e evidenciada como uma marca de luta e como símbolo de uma trajetória, sempre em curso, de emancipação. O cinema é aqui pensado como um dispositivo pedagógico, através do qual ensinamos e aprendemos modos de ser, sentir e pensar, através do qual somos subjetivados e nos identificamos e, portando, um meio fundamental de representação e construção de identidades. Neste percurso, não somente o filme enquanto narrativa nos serve como material analítico, mas também sua estrutura enquanto forma fílmica. ABSTRACT:The last frame of the film "Branco sai, Preto fica" (2015, Adirley Queirós) exposes its true intention: "About our memory we fable ourselves". This is a film that proposes the construction of a narrative through self-representation, a gaze from whithin, from those who live on the fringes, on the borders, and therefore have authenticity to tell and invent their own history. I establish a dialogue with what Nilma Lino Gomes proposes when discussing the role of the black movement in the re-signification and politicisation of the concept of race (2012). According to the author, the idea of race must be understood as a social construction, structural and structuring of Brazilian society, and that once evidenced and appropriated by the black movement was turned into a mark of struggle and a symbol of the path, always in progress, of emancipation. The Cinema is taken as a pedagogical device, through which we teach and learn ways of being, feeling and thinking, through which we are subjectivated and through which we identify, so it's a fundamental mean of representation and identities construction. In this journey, it is not only the film as narrative that serve us as analytical material, but also its structure as form. The film is taken as a reflection of the actions promoted by the black movement in the Brazilian society, in which the emancipatory discourse is the guiding thread of the narrative.
