Abstract: ThemechanismofethanolelectrooxidationonaPdelectrodewasstudiedbycyclicvoltammetryand in situ Fouriertransforminfrared(FTIR)spectroelectrochemistry.WefoundthatthecatalyticactivityofthePdelectrode forethanoloxidationwasaffectedbythepHvalueofthesolutionandtheconcentrationofethanol.Catalyticreactions couldnotproceeduntilthesolutionpH 跃11.0.TheperformanceforethanoloxidationonPdwasimprovedwiththe increaseinthepHvalueandethanolconcentration.The insitu
