Failure to interface well with different information systems is still a general phenomenon among manufacturers, leading to problems such as delay of goods delivery or missing inventory. This research analyzes transaction codes in information systems using process modelling with simulation, validated by an intensive manufacturing case study. Design principles in IT systems for continuous monitoring and auditing in manufacturing are developed. The results contribute to enterprise systems configuration by proposing internal control measures based on IoT fault detection sensors.
