Ceramics has existed in human life since the early ages and has continued to develop until today, starting with the production of pots and pans and pottery. While the ceramic remains from these productions are being unearthed by experts in archaeological finds, production continues at a great pace in today's ceramics industry. Today, many waste ceramics originating from different productions are encountered and while some of these waste ceramics are wasted, some ceramics from our past are

Both the waste ceramics in today's production and the broken ceramic finds that continue to emerge in archaeological excavations are increasing. The most efficient solution that can be applied to the main problem here is to approach today's waste ceramics and broken ceramics found in archaeological excavations with a sustainable artistic understanding. Recently, many examples have been applied in our country and in the world, with the aim of reviving waste ceramics with the concept of sustainability. Another issue that can be added to these examples is the evaluation of the broken ceramics unearthed in archaeological excavations with a sustainable artistic understanding. In this study, it is aimed to revive the broken ceramic pieces with a contemporary artistic attitude by approaching the broken ceramic pieces that were found in archaeological excavations with a sustainable production approach. In this context, museum directors, art historians and archaeologists were contacted to get their ideas and designs were created by approaching these broken ceramic pieces from the perspective of cultural heritage. Thus, it is hoped that the idle broken ceramic pieces, which are our cultural heritage, will be brought together with future generations and that they will make a great contribution to our country by establishing a bridge between the past and the future. It has been argued that the leading role in the solution of this problem, which is essential to bring to our country and future generations, should of course be ceramic artists. In this context, it is planned to bring together ceramic artists in certain periods and organize workshops, symposiums, worhshops and exhibitions where the broken ceramic pieces will be used, and to create contemporary artistic ceramic forms and bring them together with the society.
