Atmospheric aerosol particles with particle sizes between 0.01 Wld 100 f..tm form an essential part of the air pollution. Dust particles do not only influence the climate, they are furthermore dangeraus for human health, because inhalated particles smaller than 1 f..lm are effectively resorbed in human lWlgs. Conceming their composition, airborne microparticles are a complex mixture of materials of different kind and origin.
