Lower Jurassic ostracods from Ilminster, Somerset, England

<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> Pliensbachian and Toarcian ostracods are described from an interbedded marlstone/carbonate-mud •sequence in South-West England. Sediments of this age in other parts of Britain rarely offer a lithology favourable to the examination of calcareous microfossils. The fauna possesses similarities with other European sequences, particularly to the south. The presence of one species, <i>Ektyphocythere dharennsourensis</i> Boutakiout, Donze &amp; Oulmalch, 1982 suggests
