The research was motivated by the results of the economic study class X SMAN 1 Bonjol are still low , still centered learning for teachers , so that students are less active , creative and motivated. One attempt to improve student learning outcomes is by applying economic learning model type Talking Stick . The study population was a tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Bonjol , while a sample of the class X3 using learning model type as a class experiment Talking Stick and X4 classes as class control with conventional learning .The results show the average results of studying experimental class higher ( 79.62 ) than the control class ( 73.21 ) . On the results of hypothesis testing that use SPSS version 16 . obtained value of t = 2.892 and t table = 1.671 so it > ttable then tolah H1maka Ho and accept the research hypothesis is accepted . So it can be concluded that " There is a significant difference in student learning outcomes using the model of the type of learning with conventional learning Talking Stick on economic subjects class X SMAN 1 Bonjol " . Recommended for teachers of Economics especially in SMAN 1 Bonjol and high school teachers in general need to do a variety of learning models in economics learning one type of learning models Talking Stick to the material needs of man , and motivated students are expected to learn to use a type of learning model Talking Stick . . Abstrak Riset didasari oleh hasil belajar ekonomi kelas X SMAN 1 Bonjol yang masih rendah, yang masih memakai metode Teacher Center Learning, sehingga para siswa kurang aktifi dan kreatif. Satu usaha untuk meningkatkan hasil pelajaran siswa adalah dengan menerapkan jenis model pelajaran ekonomi Talking Stick. Tujuan Studi ini untuk menentukan perbedaan antara hasil belajar menggunakan metode Talking Stick dan konvensional pada kelas X SMAN 1 Bonjol. Riset ini adalah semacam eksperimen. Populasi Studi adalah suatu para siswa nilai/kelas X Sma Negeri 1 Bonjol, sedangkan kelas X3 menggunakan jenis model pelajaran Talking Stick sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X4 Kelas sebagai kelas yag dikendalikan dengan metode konvensional. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi( 79.62) dibanding kelas kontrol ( 73.21). Pada hasil pengujian hipotesis yang menggunakan SPSS versi 16. nilai yang diperoleh t= 2.892 dan t tabel= 1.671 maka> ttable kemudian Tolak H0 dan menerima H1. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ada perbedaan penting pada hasil pelajaran siswa yang menggunakan tipe Talking Stick dan konvensional pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas X SMAN 1 Bonjol.
