Applications of Planar Transmission Lines

The transmission lines are basically used in two ways either as a medium for signal transmission or as a circuit component. They can also be designed as impedance matching sources for antennas or stubs filters. The ease of fabrication of devices that use transmission lines for interconnection among the other sub-components of the circuit gives it an edge over the other tedious wiring methods.
