Network Parallel Computing for SOM Neural Networks [chapter]

This paper presents the implementation of Self-Organizing Map (SOM) neural networks on distributed computers composed of disparate workstations in order to speedup the computation and to make better use of available computing resources. The developed application is characterized by its dynamic load balancing schemes and its Java implementation.
