A STUDY ON THE PERFORMANCE OF QUALITY CERTIFIED AND NON-CERTIFIED COMPANIES

The study aims at comparing the financial performance of 14 ISO 9001 certified companies and 14 non-ISO 9001 certified companies by using some of the financial performance indicators such as Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Sales (ROS), Operating Profit Ratio (OPR), Sales to Total Assets Ratio and Current Ratio. The study finds that ISO 9001 certified pharmaceutical companies have not shown a significant difference in the ROA, ROE, ROS, Current Ratio and Sales to Total
