Surgical Treatment of Severe Hypertensive Intracerebral Hemorrhage

Clinical investigation on surgical treatment of severe hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (lateral type) have been carried out in 10 patients. Preoperative state of consciousness was stupor or semicoma. Four patients (40%) died within 19 days after operation. Three of these four patients were semicomatous preoperatively.
