Sixty-eight chemicals were synthesized and evaluated as repellents agains 2 species of mosquitoes, Aedes aegypti L. and Culex pipiens molestus Forskal, by applying the repellents on the shaven belly of a rabbit. The Chemicals were classified into a number of categories according to their repellent effect.
