Elbow pain is a commonly occurring symptom in primary care. The diagnosis of this symptom requires elimination of many conditions with similar presentation and a logical step-by-step approach to the history as well as a series of functional investigations. Non-traumatic elbow pain can be caused by different pathologies in any component of the joint including tendons, bursae, bones, nerves and muscles.
