The study examines the impact of home environment on the cognitive development of the children of state Uttarakhand and State Haryana. The study was conducted in rural and urban areas of state Uttarakhand and Haryana. The results revealed that Home environment influences the cognitive development of the children. Mother education, father education, mother occupation and family income had an influence on the cognitive development of children.
