Food sharing is combined with cultural context, values, ethics and the understanding of social demands and problems. Some countries are enriched with varieties of food-sharing practices. From day to day lifestyles to festival-oriented sharing practices, food sharing can be observed in most societies. With several workshops, lectures, camps events and video programs, the 5 th International Food sharing Festival was held from 12.08.2016 to 14.08.2016 in Malzfabrik, Berlin. The aim was to combat food waste. Participants could gain fruitful experiences and knowledge on the diverse work of food sharing and were offered many other exciting topics concerning sustainability and social issues.
