... cal tool mainly due to the possibility of spatial and temporal foundation of events. This qualitative research was carried out with the participation of 21 permanent secondary school teachers. The technique of thematic analysis of the content was chosen as a method of processing the empirical material. The results of this study demonstrate that the principles and practices of educational assessment have been changed the last years in their effort to meet the advances in science concerning the link between affect and learning but outmost to live up to the needs and demands of contemporary social and professional context, modernizing the assessment process and activating it as an integral part of the learning process. Assessment as learning has proved to be a collaborative process that demands a multidisciplinary action and practice in realistic environment in order to be considered as an investment that enhances and assures student's progress.
