The effect of psychodrama application on nursing students\ problem-solving skills

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________ ÖZET Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, sorun çözme becerilerinin geliştirilmesinde psikodrama grubunun etkisini araştırmaktır. Yöntem: Araştırmada yarı deneysel, tek gruplu ön test-son test çalışma deseni kullanıldı. Örneklemi psikodrama grubunun yapılacağı gün ve saati ders programına uygun bulan ve açıklamadan sonra çalışmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan 10 son sınıf hemşirelik öğrencisi oluşturdu.
more » ... ama oturumları haftada bir, üç saatlik oturumlar şeklinde düzenlendi ve toplam 21 grup oturumu yapıldı. Veriler bilgi formu, grubu değerlendirme formu ve problem çözme ölçeği kullanılarak grup öncesi, grubun bitiminde ve bir yıl sonra (e-posta yoluyla) olmak üzere üç kez toplandı. Bulgular istatistiksel yöntemler ve öğrencilerin geribildirimleri kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Sonuçlar: Katılımcıların grup öncesi, grubun bitiminde ve gruptan bir yıl sonraki problem çözme puanları arasında anlamlı düzeyde farklılık vardı. Öğrenciler geribildirimlerinde kendini değerlendirme, farkındalık kazanma, duygu ve düşüncelerini ifade edebilme, yaratıcılık, empati ve problem çözme yeteneklerinde gelişme olduğunu belirtti. Tartışma: İstatistiksel analiz ve katılımcıların geribildirimleri, psikodrama grubunun etkili olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu bulgular ışığında hemşirelik eğitiminde psikodrama yönteminden yararlanılması önerilir. (Anadolu Psikiyatri Derg 2014; 15:55-62) Anahtar sözcükler: Psikodrama, problem çözme becerisi, hemşirelik öğrencileri ABSTRACT Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the effects of the psychodrama in improving problem solving skills. Methods: A quasi-experimental and single group pretest-posttest study design is utilized. The sample of the study consists of the senior baccalaureate nursing students of Marmara University College of Nursing (n=10) who volunteered after the explanation of what psychodrama is and whose schedules fit the psychodrama group date and time. Psychodrama sessions were arranged as three hour in each week and made in total 21 psychodrama sessions. Data were collected questionnaire form, group evaluation forms and problem solving scale. The participants filled in the problem solving scale before group sessions, during the last session and after one year via e-mail. Statistical methods and feedbacks from students were used while evaluating the findings. Results: The scores of the participants on the problem solving scale during the periods of pre-group, post-group and one year after the group was statistically significant. Students stated that they achieved progress in self-awareness, self-evaluation, creativity, empathy, problem solving and expressing their emotions.
