Shape interpolation has been widely used in the field of computer graphics for modeling and for creating visual effects. This paper presents a novel hierarchical method to interpolate between two 2D shapes. A hierarchical representation, which is a hierarchy of triangles, is proposed to represent the interior and the details of each shape.
