first impressions by subsequent observation, he is not unfrequently disposed to consider near, and even remote, resemblances as positive likenesses. We do not charge this on Dr. Douglas, lu the absence of detail, however, we must admit his explanation in tolo, or reject it ; and were wc to do the latter, which by the way we are not disposed to do, we should find few materials in his cases for making a new one.
