Vitiligo is the most common acquired depigmentation of the skin, affecting the patient's self- image and negatively affecting quality of life. As for the pathogenesis of vitiligo, there is an autoimmune theory. Vitamin D deficiency has been shown to exist in many autoimmune diseases.
